China Visa Applications
When you apply, you'll need to know whether you need a single entry, double entry or a multiple entry visa. Single and double entry visas are valid for six months from the date of issue, and multiple entry visas are valid for either six or twelve months from the date of issue. You must arrive on Chinese soil before your visa expires, or you may be turned away.

China Tourist Visa
(Type L) Issued to aliens who enter China temporarily for touring, family visiting or other personal affairs. Single entry, double entry tourist visa are available. Multiple entry visa is not granted for tourist.
China Business Visa
(Type L) Issued to aliens who enter China temporarily for touring, family visiting or other personal affairs. Single entry, double entry tourist visa are available. Multiple entry visa is not granted for tourist.
China Student Visa
(Type X) Issued to aliens who goes to China for study, advanced studies or intern practice for a period of more than six months. If the study period is no more than six months, then the applicant shall apply for a business visa (type F).
China Work Visa
(Type Z) Issued to aliens who goes to China for employment(such as teach), and his/her accompanying family members.
China Transit Visa: (Type G) Issued to aliens transit through China. U.S. passport holders must obtain a transit visa to transit through all Chinese airports except Pudong International Airport in Shanghai.
